Plain English summary: DigiRaksha is a parental control app for Android. You must be a parent or legal guardian to use it on your minor child's device — not for monitoring adults. Subscriptions can be purchased via Google Play (in-app) or our website (Razorpay). Trial is 3 days free. Refunds within 7 days of first payment. We are not responsible if the app does not prevent every possible harm, but we will always do our best.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using DigiRaksha (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Rakshak Digital Technologies Private Limited ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), operating under the laws of India.
2. Eligibility
To use DigiRaksha, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be the parent or legal guardian of the child whose device you are monitoring
- Have the legal right to install monitoring software on the device
- Have a valid Indian mobile phone number for OTP authentication
Important: Installing DigiRaksha on a person's device without their knowledge (for any purpose other than parental monitoring of your minor child) may violate Indian law. We do not support or condone covert surveillance.
3. Lawful Use and Authorized Monitoring
DigiRaksha is designed exclusively for use by parents or legal guardians to monitor and manage the digital device usage of their own minor children, for whom they hold lawful parental or guardianship authority. By pairing a child's device with your DigiRaksha account, you represent and warrant that:
(a) You are the parent or legal guardian of the child whose device is being monitored, or you otherwise hold lawful authority to consent to such monitoring on the child's behalf;
(b) Your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act, 2000 and any applicable provisions relating to privacy, surveillance, and interception of communications;
(c) You will not use DigiRaksha to monitor any individual who is not your own minor child, including but not limited to spouses, partners, other adults, or employees, without their explicit, informed, and lawful consent.
Unauthorized surveillance or monitoring of any individual without lawful consent may constitute a criminal offense under applicable law. Rakshak Digital Technologies Private Limited disclaims all liability arising from any unlawful, unauthorized, or improper use of the Service by any user, and reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to any account found to be in violation of this section.
4. Description of Service
DigiRaksha provides Android-based parental control features including but not limited to:
- App blocking and screen time management
- DNS-level ad and content filtering
- Browser content filtering
- Tracker and privacy protection tools
- Bedtime schedules and usage-time limits
- App install approval and uninstall prevention
- Alerts for late-night usage and new app installs
5. Account Registration
Accounts are created using your Indian mobile phone number. A one-time password (OTP) is sent via SMS to verify your identity. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your phone number and account secure
- Not sharing your OTPs with anyone
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access
6. Free Trial
New users receive a 3-day free trial upon registration. The trial provides access to all features available in the Family plan.
- No credit card is required to start the trial
- After the trial ends, a 2-day grace period applies before features are restricted
- You may subscribe at any time during or after the trial
- Only one free trial is permitted per phone number
7. Subscription Plans and Pricing

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes. Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice.
8. Payment and Billing
- Subscriptions may be purchased through the Google Play Store (in-app) or directly on our website (getdigiraksha.com) via Razorpay, depending on how you access the Service.
- We do not store your payment card details, regardless of which channel you use.
- Subscriptions are billed in advance for the period selected (monthly or annual).
- Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- You will receive a receipt for every payment via your email or Google Play account.
- Failed payments will result in a grace period of up to 2 days before service restriction.
If you purchase or manage your subscription through Google Play, any payment disputes, billing questions, or refund requests related to that transaction must be handled in accordance with Google Play's own terms and policies. Rakshak Digital Technologies Private Limited has no responsibility for payment processing issues arising from the Google Play platform.
Subscriptions purchased directly on our website via Razorpay are subject to our refund policy in Section 9 and are processed independently of any Google Play account.
9. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. If subscribed via Google Play, cancel from your Google Play subscriptions page. If subscribed via our website, email us or use your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you retain access to paid features until then.
Refund Policy
- Within 7 days of first payment (website/Razorpay): Full refund available if you are not satisfied. No questions asked.
- After 7 days: No refunds for the current billing period. Cancellation prevents future charges.
- Annual plans: Pro-rated refunds may be considered at our discretion for extenuating circumstances. Contact us within 30 days.
- Google Play purchases: Refunds are subject to Google Play's refund policy and are processed by Google, not by us.
- Refund requests for website purchases must be sent to getdigiraksha@gmail.com with your registered phone number.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree to use DigiRaksha only for lawful parental monitoring of your minor children. You must not:
- Install the app on any device without the explicit knowledge of the device owner (except your minor child's device)
- Use the Service for commercial surveillance, employee monitoring, or tracking adults without consent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent the app's security features
- Use the Service to harass, intimidate, or abuse any person
- Share your account credentials with others outside your immediate family
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law
11. Limitations of the Service
DigiRaksha is a technical tool and does not guarantee complete protection. Specifically:
- Some technically advanced bypass methods may not be detected
- Content filtering works at DNS level; encrypted DNS (DoH/DoT) must be disabled for filtering to work
- The app requires certain Android permissions to function; revoking permissions reduces effectiveness
- We do not monitor or filter content within encrypted apps (WhatsApp messages, etc.)
12. App Updates and Version Responsibility
We may update DigiRaksha from time to time to add features, improve security, or fix issues. You are responsible for keeping the app updated to the latest version available. Rakshak Digital Technologies Private Limited is not liable for any loss, security vulnerability, or reduced functionality resulting from continued use of an outdated version of the app after being notified that an update is available.
13. Intellectual Property
All content, features, code, and design of DigiRaksha are the exclusive property of Rakshak Digital Technologies Private Limited. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our written permission. The DigiRaksha name and logo are trademarks of Rakshak Digital Technologies Private Limited.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF SECURITY VULNERABILITIES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
15. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RAKSHAK DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF RAKSHAK DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (I) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (II) INR 500 (FIVE HUNDRED INDIAN RUPEES).
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rakshak Digital Technologies Private Limited from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
17. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will refund any unused prepaid subscription on a pro-rated basis.
18. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email with at least 15 days notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
19. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve disputes amicably.
